Only because his soul emblem is connected to the Guardian of Time and Space itself, makeing him an important piece in the Puzzle around the Shadow of Time and the Light of Hope, the witch and the Mind of the guradian. (aka Time)

The only reason he could be rescued was because Cynderpaw rmebered him because her father had met him before, and she remebred her fathers toughts and actions with the "thought-stone"

The eyes are the guardians, watching him and hsi actions ..... Remind him about the Silence and what he has seen.
